A search is underway for a man following an incident at The Three Horseshoes pub in Knockholt, near Sevenoaks, which left a woman seriously injured. The incident occurred on Valentine’s Day, Friday, February 14th.
Incident Details
Kent Police were called to the pub on Main Road, Knockholt, just after 19:00 GMT on Friday in response to reports of a “disturbance.” Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service arrived at the scene, where they found a woman in her 40s with serious injuries.
While police have not confirmed the details of the incident, witnesses have reported to the BBC, local media, and Sky News that the woman was shot. The police investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances.
Manhunt Underway
The suspect, described as a man believed to be known to the victim, fled the scene and remains at large. Police are actively searching for him and conducting inquiries to establish the full details of what occurred.
Forensic Investigation
Forensic teams were present at The Three Horseshoes on Friday night, examining the area. Pictures from the scene show forensic personnel in white overalls carrying plastic evidence bags. A white forensic screen was placed inside the parking area, and a blue tarpaulin was put up next to a dark-colored car parked at the entrance to the car park.
Police Response and Road Closures
Police have cordoned off the area around the pub, which is located in the center of Knockholt, approximately five miles (8km) northwest of Sevenoaks. Roads in the vicinity have also been closed as part of the investigation.

The Three Horseshoes pub has announced it will be closed on Saturday, February 15th, following the incident. In a statement, the pub expressed its apologies for any inconvenience and stated its hope to reopen on Sunday.
