Hibs’ Impressive Form
Hibs, led by David Gray, are on an impressive run of form, remaining unbeaten in their last 13 games. Their most recent victory was a notable 2-1 home win against league leaders and reigning champions Celtic. Their away form has also been strong, with three wins in their last six road games. Their current five-match unbeaten run away from home is their longest since 2017. A victory in their upcoming match against Dundee United would see them leapfrog their opponents on goal difference.
Dundee United’s Recent Form
Dundee United’s recent form has been less consistent. Despite a 1-0 win at home to Motherwell, which ended a four-game losing streak, they find themselves behind Aberdeen in the league table. Manager Jim Goodwin has a strong record against Hibs at Tannadice, winning his last four home games against them (two with Aberdeen and two with United). Overall, United are unbeaten in the last six meetings between the two sides, winning all three home games and drawing the other three, since a 3-1 home defeat in December 2021.
