Two-time Oscar winner Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, have been found dead at their home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, along with their dog. The news was confirmed by Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza.

Mr. Hackman was 95 years old, and his wife was 63. The Sheriff’s office is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding their deaths. According to Sheriff Mendoza, there is no immediate indication of foul play.

“We can confirm that both Gene Hackman and his wife were found dead Wednesday afternoon at their residence on Sunset Trail. This is an active investigation – however, at this time we do not believe that foul play was a factor,” Mr. Mendoza stated, as reported by BBC.

The exact cause and time of death have not yet been disclosed. Sheriff Mendoza mentioned that the investigation is in its preliminary stages, and they are awaiting approval for a search warrant.
