Mohan Babu Faces Allegations in Connection to Soundarya’s Death 22 Years After Plane Crash

Telugu actor Mohan Babu faces allegations in connection to the death of actress Soundarya 22 years after a plane crash. Complaint alleges property dispute and foul play.

Veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu is facing serious allegations related to the death of Kannada actress Soundarya, who tragically died in a plane crash 22 years ago. A police complaint has been filed in Andhra Pradesh’s Khammam district, alleging that Soundarya’s death was not accidental but a murder linked to a property dispute involving Mohan Babu.

The Allegations

The complainant, identified as Chittimallu, has accused Mohan Babu of pressuring Soundarya and her brother, Amarnath, to sell six acres of land located in Shamshabad’s Jalpalli village. According to the complaint, the siblings refused to sell the land, leading to a major conflict. Chittimallu alleges that after Soundarya’s death, Mohan Babu forcefully took possession of the land.

The complaint has been lodged with the Khammam Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and the District Officer. Chittimallu has requested a fresh investigation into Mohan Babu’s role in the alleged land grab and has urged the state government to seize the land. He has also requested police protection, citing threats to his life.

Soundarya’s Untimely Death

Soundarya, a popular actress known for her role as Radha in the 1999 film ‘Sooryavansham’ alongside Amitabh Bachchan, died on April 17, 2004, when her private jet crashed while en route to Karimnagar for a political event. She was 31 years old and reportedly pregnant at the time. Her brother also died in the crash, and their bodies were not recovered from the crash site.

Property Dispute Details

The complaint states that Mohan Babu allegedly asked Soundarya to sell a six-acre guest house in Jallepalli, Shamshabad. Her brother, Amarnath, refused this request. The complainant alleges that Mohan Babu has been using the guest house and is demanding that the government take possession of the property.

Manchu Family Disputes

Chittimallu’s complaint also highlights the property dispute between Mohan Babu and his younger son, Manchu Manoj. Last year, the Manchu family dispute escalated when Mohan Babu reportedly attacked a journalist at his home. Mohan Babu’s elder son, Manchu Vishnu, downplayed the dispute as a family quarrel that would be resolved soon.

Demands for Justice and Investigation

The complainant is seeking a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Soundarya’s death, alleging foul play. He has requested the government to seize the disputed land and ensure justice is served. The activist has also expressed fear for their life and requested police protection.

Mohan Babu, known for his roles as a villain in South Indian films, has not yet responded to the allegations.

As of now, no FIR has been registered in this matter.
