Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: Detailed Specifications and Features

Samsung has officially launched its Galaxy S25 series, featuring the standard Galaxy S25, the Galaxy S25+, and the premium Galaxy S25 Ultra. The Galaxy S25 Ultra stands out with significant upgrades in design, performance, and camera technology. This article provides a comprehensive look at its features and specifications.

Design and Display

The Galaxy S25 Ultra sports a larger 6.9-inch display, increased from 6.8 inches in previous models. The design incorporates more rounded edges, moving away from the sharper lines of the Galaxy Note series. Despite the larger screen, the device weighs 218 grams, making it lighter than its predecessors. The display boasts a peak brightness of 2,600 nits and a 120 Hz refresh rate, and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Armor 2. The phone also features a titanium build for enhanced durability.

Camera System

One of the most notable improvements is the camera system. The S25 Ultra features a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera (upgraded from 12MP), a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The front-facing camera remains at 12MP, with improvements for enhanced selfie and video call quality.

Performance and Hardware

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, a custom-tuned version of Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset for 2025. All storage variants (256GB, 512GB, and 1TB) come with 12GB of RAM. Samsung has improved heat management on the S25 Ultra by increasing the vapor chamber size by 40 percent. The phone includes a 5,000mAh battery and supports 45W charging, although a charger is not included in the box.

Software and AI Features

The Galaxy S25 series runs on Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7 interface, which is built from the ground up with AI. The integration of Gemini brings new “AI agents” that streamline phone interactions, and users can access Gemini directly by long-pressing the power button. Gemini extensions are also added to Samsung apps for better functionality.

AI features include “Generative Edit” in the photo editing tools, which can remove objects and shadows. The “Now Brief” feature provides a personalized daily summary, while Samsung Gallery now supports searching for images using natural language. The “Personal Data Engine” analyses user data securely while maintaining a focus on privacy.

The AI Select tool suggests relevant features, like writing assistance or text tone adjustment. On-device search now supports detailed queries, and voice-triggered tasks are included for actions such as activating a blue light filter for eye strain. Additionally, Live Video provides step-by-step guidance by analyzing activities, and the AI system supports translations in 20 languages for calls and in-person interactions.

Other AI-powered features include circle to search, call transcript, writing assist, and drawing assist. The phone also features an Audio eraser to remove unwanted noise in videos.
